Baby #2 Bumpdate: 11 Weeks

I was 11 weeks yesterday and totally missed posting because we had Caleb’s birthday party! Oops!

Symptoms: Same old, same old. Some headaches, some nausea. A little over emotional, crying over songs and whatnot (“Boy” by Lee Brice, anyone?).

Sleep: Pregnancy insomnia and waking up to pee continue on!

Diet / Cravings: My diet wasn’t great this week because we had pizza, cake, and dip at Caleb’s party. I’m going to try for a lot of soup this week, and healthier choices when I can!

Exercise: I made it to the gym three times last week: Monday, Friday, and Saturday. I did about 30-35 minutes each day and do either the treadmill or elliptical when I go!

Good Moments:
  • Caleb’s birthday party was over the weekend and that went pretty well. It’s nice to give him attention and love, because I don’t want him overshadowed by the new baby.
  • Nothing much going on with the pregnancy right now, which is a good thing! With Caleb, we had a lot of bleeding and emergency appointments, so it’s a relief that things are going well this time.
  • I’m reading a great book, so even though my energy has been too low to read much lately, I’m starting to get back into the swing of things.

Bad Moments: Not much really “bad” this week. I did have to reschedule my girl’s movie club. It was scheduled for after Caleb’s party, but I was too rundown. I decided to listen to my body and take a break for the rest of the day.

Looking forward to: My 12 week appointment is Wednesday! I am hoping we get to hear the heartbeat.

Comparisons: Here is my 11 week bumpdate with Caleb. Similar symptoms. Differences are that I had gained 7 pounds at that point, and it’s less this time (hallelujah!). I also wasn’t exercising then, and I am now. Clearly, the two are related.
