Get Sh*t Done: January 2019 Goals

I haven’t done one of these since August, before Holden Lee was born! It feels good to be back and setting my monthly goals. These goals really, really push me to get sh*t done and I love that! Here is the sh*t I need to get done in the month of January.

January 2019 Goals

Personal Goals

  • No Diet Coke: I decided to quit Diet Coke last month, and haven’t had one since December 16th. I don’t drink coffee or alcohol, so Diet Coke was my one big vice. I love the taste of it and was going to McDonalds to get one several days a week, but they often trigger migraines for me and I decided it wasn’t worth the risk anymore. Not to mention, I’ll save money and be a bit healthier. I want to make it through all of January without a single Diet Coke! I’ve been getting cravings here and there, but have fought them off so far.
  • Read three books: I need to make reading more of a priority again. I want to read my two January book club books, plus at least one other!

Household Goals

  • Purge five pieces of clothing: my wardrobe has gotten too big again. I’d like to find five pieces of clothing to get rid of this month.
  • Goodwill drop off: I have a bag and some boxes that need to be dropped off!
  • Finish sorting through Caleb’s toys and tidy up: his room is a disaster and he has way too many toys. I started sorting and cleaning his room, but need to finish it this month before he gets more toys for his birthday in a couple of weeks!

Health Goals

  • Work out 15 times: I’m sincerely hoping that 2019 is my year to re-prioritize my health now that I’m done with being pregnant.
  • Lose one pound: I’m trying to take it slow and be realistic. I was going to aim for two pounds, but Jerry, Caleb, and I all have birthdays this month, so I want to be able to enjoy those and eat cake! I’ll be launching a monthly health post with weigh-ins and such, so stay tuned to see how I do.

Financial Goals

  • No credit cards: now that I’m back at work, I’d like for us to get back into the habit of not using credit cards at all.
  • Earn $25 on MTurk: I just started “turking” in December and would like to earn at least $25 in January. I’m putting all of this money toward my car inspection and repairs in March!
