Five on Friday (26)

Happy Friday, everyone! This has been a pretty hard week, obviously. Aaaand I have to work all day tomorrow, so clearly, this is just not my week. Let’s get on with it, shall we?

ONE.

It looks like the end is in sight for this horrible ectopic pregnancy / miscarriage ordeal. I had my follow up appointment on Wednesday and was pleased to find out that my HCG levels (pregnancy hormones) had already dropped all the way down to five. I go for more blood work next Wednesday, and we’re hoping to see zero or close to. For the first time in weeks, I felt hopeful and relieved hearing what the doctor had to say. I went home happy and positive for my family’s future. Also, people have been so kind, gracious, thoughtful, loving, and supportive. It means more than I can ever say. We have received so many sweet words, cards, and even gifts. I feel like I need to reiterate that we did not share our story for attention, but to help me heal by writing and to share with other women that they aren’t alone. The support has been amazing regardless and we are so appreciative. One coworker even gave me a single white rose with a card that said “in remembrance of your little one.” It really meant a lot to me that people recognized our baby.

TWO.

Caleb has been getting his two year molars for a couple of weeks and is not a happy camper. His hand is always in his mouth and his mood is hit or miss. Send coffee. Wait. I don’t drink it. Send wine. Ahh, scratch that — I don’t drink alcohol either. Hmm. Send hot chocolate. Now that I will take and it MIGHT make me feel better.

THREE.

I saw Fifty Shades Darker last weekend with my two best friends and it was pretty good, but I was slightly disappointed. I LOVED the first movie (shut up) and didn’t like this one quite as much. It was still worth a watch though and altogether pretty good.

FOUR.

I decided to share a couple more outfits. On the left are floral Agnes and Dora leggings and this top from Amazon. I currently own it in two colors and plan to get a lot more when the budget allows. The necklace was a Christmas gift from my BFF, though I think it was from Target. On the right is an Agnes and Dora Dolman top (it’s my new favorite brand!) and these jeggings from Amazon which I own in a few colors. I like the jeggings but they do slide down quite a bit so they’re not my absolute favorite. I like how they look though and would recommend them. My picture quality is horrendous, I know. There is NOWHERE good in my house to take a decent full-size picture. No good lighting with a blank canvas in back at all… there are either decorations or toys in the background wherever I go. Any suggestions? I might have to start going outside once it’s warm enough.

FIVE.

I am SO behind on basically all my shows. I just can’t keep up! I feel so behind on TV, books… basically everything. I heard that This Is Us was brutal this week but I have like… 7 or 8 episodes on my DVR to catch up on still. I guess I’ll be crying later than the rest of you, on my own. NO SPOILERS, YO! I AM up to date on Teen Mom 2 though… priorities (AKA I’m a reality TV junkie). Anyone else get really behind then just binge a bunch of episodes at once? Yes? No? Hopefully.

Anyway, hope you all have a great weekend! Mine is busy. I’m working all day tomorrow, then getting some Chinese food for dinner and enjoying a night at home with my boys. Sunday, we have Family Sauce Day for dinner, then it’s back to work already on Monday.
