ONE.
First things first, my child is SLEEPING again. I repeat, my child is sleeping! PHEW. Thanks for all your well wishes (LOL) about that dang sleep regression, but we made it through! He just as suddenly stopped crying about bedtime as suddenly as he started. Can I get an AMEN?
TWO.
The long Memorial Day weekend was good but busy. My nephew turned two so we celebrated at Chuck E Cheese and Caleb seemed to enjoy it. We also took him to a Red Wings baseball game on Monday. He actually sat and ate his hot dog (err.. the bread, mostly), and my favorite thing was that he clapped anytime the crowd clapped. We only made it two innings before the crying started and we had to leave, but I was expecting that.
THREE.
A few months ago, I had a crazy but short lived Lularoe obsession. Still like it (especially the shirts) and still wear it, but don’t really buy it anymore because I bought too much. That said, I decided to sell a couple of my unworn pairs of leggings on eBay just to cull back on my collection and recoup some of the (too much) money I spent. Last week, I sold my ninja pair for $78. Yesterday, I sold a pair for $52, and then I have one more pair ending tomorrow and one next week. I’m pretty pumped and have been applying all of that money to my credit card.
FOUR.
Remember when I got sick on my cruise last year? Well, for about a month after that, I seemed to have some mysterious illness that would randomly hit me with nausea, dizziness, lightheadedness, and headaches. The doctor ran some tests but didn’t find anything wrong and eventually it stopped. Well, it’s happening again now. I’m going to the doctor again today so cross your fingers for me that I get an answer and a solution.
FIVE.
My new favorite thing that Caleb does is say “me,” while thumping his hand to his chest or belly to indicate that he is ME… and it actually sounds more like “may!” He learned it in speech and it kills me, you guys. Last week, we were getting ready for bed and were rocking in his room when I asked him to do it. It cracked me up so I started laughing, and then he started laughing, and we sat together in his rocking chair and laughed together for a good two minutes. I loved every second of it.
That’s all I’ve got this week! What are you guys up to this weekend? No real plans here, just dinner out tomorrow with Jerry and Caleb. One of our favorite local dishes is called a “garbage plate” (look it up… they’ve even been on Food Network!) and Jerry has been wanting to try new versions at different restaurants lately. It’s fun and delicious.
