August was an absolute sh*t month for me. I was completely unmotivated in so many regards, including reading and exercise. I pretty much accomplished next to nothing and I don’t know why. Now that fall is basically here, I hope that I’m ready to start fresh and get back into healthier habits and reaching my goals since I just love fall and it makes me happy. Here is the horrific recap of August, as well as some September goals that I really need to work on.
August 2019 Goals
❌ Work out 12 times: FAIL. Holy crap, I only worked out five times in August. My worst month of the year.
❌ Read five books: FAIL. I only finished two, and was halfway through another two. This was my worst reading month of the whole year, as was my exercise.
✅ Schedule an oil change: DONE! Scheduled it and got it done in the same week.
❌ Finish 90 Day Fiancé, season three: FAIL. I’ve been watching other stuff. Oops.
❌ Watch Law & Order: The Menendez Brothers: FAIL. See above.
✅ Post at least eight times to Bookstagram: DONE! I posted nine times in August.
❌ Read 100 pages in Game of Thrones: FAIL. I missed book club this month so I didn’t start it yet. Caleb had his preschool open house the night of book club.
❌ Watch two movies: FAIL. Jerry and I saw Ready or Not in theaters, and I don’t THINK we watched any movies at home, though I could be wrong. Better mark this as a fail because I don’t recall.
❌ Lose two pounds: FAIL. Not a good month for exercise.
❌ Buy small storage totes: FAIL. Oops. Totally forgot.
✅ Total Completed: 2 of 10. Horrible. That is all, moving on.
September 2019 Goals
- Work out 10 times: no dang excuses!
- Read five books: I need to step my reading game up again.
- Watch three movies at home: this is the time of year that I really like to start amping up my horror movie watching to prepare for Halloween!
- Do at least one fall activity: I always have a huge list of fall activities to do and I need to start this month!
- Watch one movie in theater: Jerry and I would really like to see It, Chapter 2, and my friend Angela and I also want to see a movie, so I hope I get to at least one of those this month.
- Read at least one horror book: fall is my horror reading time!
- Bake at least once: I like making cake mix cookies, but I also want to start making some fall goodies, so I’m hoping to bake at least once this month.
…and that’s it for the month. Caleb is starting school back up this week and Holden is going through a sleep regression (possibly from more teething?) so I’m tired and stressed. If I just make it through the next few weeks, I’ll be happy enough with that!
