Happy Friday, friends! How has your week been? Mine has been busy and tiring. Lots of activities and fun things happening lately, so I’m talking about it today!
ONE.
I’ve been super busy with friends and family… tis the season, right? I had a girl’s dinner last Friday with my mom, best friends, and second mom! Tuesday night, my aunt and I saw Fiddler on the Roof, and it was fantastic, and Wednesday night was my Forever YA book club at work. We had a little Christmas celebration and I brought my snickerdoodle cookie bars. I tried these at my favorite antique store a few weeks ago, loved them and made some for Jerry, and now have to make them just about every week. He loves them, and Caleb loves using the mixer to help me.
TWO.
Jerry and I went to our second Yuletide in the Country tour and dinner on Sunday night (I talked all about it last year). Basically, it’s held at a local 19th century living history museum and they have actors and scenes set up in the old houses. You do a 90 minute guided tour and then we opt to do the dinner buffet after. We liked it, but felt that this year was a little boring compared to last year. The food was also not catered by the same place and not as good. Nonetheless, we still enjoyed ourselves and will go each year; it’s our new Christmas tradition.
THREE.
Holden has started sleeping long stretches most nights now! Hooray! This week, he’s been doing anywhere from 7 to 10 hour stretches which has been great. He’s been waking up between 5 and 6, having a bottle, then going back to sleep for a bit. Last night though, he randomly got up at 1:30 again. Sigh. We’ll see how tonight goes.
FOUR.
Speaking of Mr. Holden Lee, a lot of people have been telling me that he’s my mini me and I didn’t / don’t really see it. My mom dug up some old baby pictures of me and we couldn’t believe how much we looked alike! What do you all think?

FIVE.
I went into work late yesterday so I could attend Caleb’s preschool Christmas program and party! The kids performed several songs in the church for us (while adorned in adorable Christmas headbands), followed by a party with Secret Santa for the kids and cookies galore. I’m so glad I didn’t miss it! Though Caleb didn’t sing or do the dance moves, he did clap and shake the jingle bells. He also exclaimed “mommy!” when he saw me in the middle of a song. Also, he’s been singing Jingle Bells at home, so I think he’s just stage shy. I don’t blame him!

There’s my week in a nutshell! I was so relieved last night that I was finally home and could rest and relax a bit after work. Jerry and I caught up on our 90 Day Fiance (that and Love After Lockup are our recent guilty pleasures – haha!). Tonight we’re taking the kids to a dinner with Santa that Caleb has gone to every year. This one’s great because Santa is played by a friend of my parents and they have Rudolph tapping on the windows outside too. Really cute! Tomorrow, I’m working all day. Sigh. Tell me your weekend plans are more fun than my working? š
