Get Sh*t Done: December 2021 Goals

Happy December, everyone! Holy cow, the holidays got here pretty quickly, didn’t they?! I did pretty well in November with my goals, and have set some fun(ish) new ones for December.

October 2021 Goals Recap 

Lose 10 pounds: DONE! I lost 11 pounds in November!
Organize the tupperware: DONE! Finally did this and it’s so much more organized now! I do this a couple of times a year.
❌ Go live in my PZ group twice: FAIL! I didn’t go live at all in November.
Start Christmas shopping: DONE! The kids are both getting bikes as their big gifts this year. I ordered those, and a few small things too.
❌ Finish two books: FAIL. This is not my year for reading. Sigh.
❌ Schedule car inspection: FAIL. Rolling this over!

❌ Watch eight Hallmark movies: FAIL. I only got through one! I need to pick up my pace this month!
✅ Total Completed: 5 of 9. Not too bad! I got through more than half of my goals.

December 2021 Goals

  • Lose 11 pounds: since I lost 11 last month, I want to hit that same amount again instead of 10. Keep the momentum going!
  • Schedule car inspection: this expired in November. Oops.
  • Go live in my PZ group once: I miss going live and interacting with my customers / friends, so I need to aim for at least once a month! I used to do it several times a month.
  • Schedule dog grooming: Dakota is way overdue for a haircut.
  • Bake pecan pie for Christmas: I usually bake one for Thanksgiving, but I didn’t do it this year because we were busy all morning at the Turkey Trot (race), and I can only eat a few bites of sweets, so I didn’t want to have it around tempting me to eat more than I should. I’m going to make it for Christmas though.
  • Watch 10 Hallmark movies: I am so behind on my Hallmark Christmas movie watching since I only watched one in November! Ugh!
  • Blog a November Month in Review: I’m going to try to get back into these every month since I started it back up last month!
  • Clean dining room: my dining room continues to serve as my Pink Zebra “office” basically. It’s a disaster and I need to clean the dining room out by figuring out a better solution for my PZ stuff.
  • Practice my makeup: I went to a makeup lesson last week and had a one-on-one session with a makeup artist! It was a lot of fun, and now I need to practice what she taught me so that eventually I can do it well enough on a day to day basis. I only usually wear eyeliner and eyeshadow because it was all I needed (I had amazing skin). But my skin is getting bad now, and now that I no longer wear glasses due to getting LASIK, the bags under my eyes are really visible. I knew nothing about any other kind of makeup, like foundation and have been feeling self-conscious, so I thought this would be a great opportunity, and it was! She walked me through every step, matched my colors, etc, and then I decided to buy most of what she used since I don’t know how to match my own colors.
  • Practice curling my hair: one side effect of bariatric surgery is that many people tend to lose a lot of hair for a few months. My already thin, flat hair has definitely been shedding and now I hate it even more! If I curl my hair, I’m hoping it will at least improve the appearance and make it look like I have volume (at least until a lot of this hair starts to grow back!).
And that’s it for the December goals! The holidays will surely keep us (and everyone else) busy, so that’s the focus for now.
