πͺ Exercise
This month, I continued to walk on our treadmill for all of my work outs. I increased my time to 35 minutes (up from 30 in January). I set a goal of working out 15 times, and beat the goal with a total of 16 work outs! I much prefer morning work outs, which I do on weekends and days off, but have also had to do quite a bit in the evenings after work. Oh well… what can you do?
Workouts completed: 16 (goal: 15)
Total time: 9.3 hours
π« Diet
I continued to eat like “normal” for me which isn’t necessarily good since I have a horrendous sweet tooth. I ate way more sweets this month than is probably acceptable, but that (and diet coke) are my only real vices. What can I say? I appreciate chocolate.
I know I’m likely eating too much — sweets in particular — but over the last couple of months I wanted to see if I could lose weight if I worked out but didn’t change my diet… and it’s worked (so far). I know I could be losing weight at a much faster rate if I dieted in addition to exercising, but I’m not concerned about the pace at which I lose. I WANT to lose slower this time so that I can keep it off. This is working for me right now so I’m going to keep doing what I’m doing in regards to my diet which is: not much. Not dieting, not restricting myself, and being realistic about what I can maintain in the future. Right now, I’m just eating like I always have and I’m glad that I’ve still been successful with my weight loss goals thus far. If and when the weight loss stalls, I will re-asses.

π― March Plans and Goals
In March, my work outs will increase from 35 minutes to 40 minutes. I will continue walking on the treadmill. I’m not quite ready to run again yet, but I’m hoping to soon. I just have to keep rebuilding that endurance!
I’m increasing my goals a bit for the month because March is a longer month than February. I’m still not going to track my food either, because what I’m doing so far (or rather NOT doing) is working for me at the moment. Here are my numerical goals:
- Work outs: 18
- Weight loss: 3 pounds
π Books I Read on the Treadmill
Just for fun, I thought I’d add this little section! I love reading on my Kindle Fire while I work out since it really helps pass the time. Here are the books I read from this month while working out:
- Polyamorous by Jenny Yuen – 3/5 stars. I am 100% not interested in this lifestyle, and read it merely out of curiosity. It was pretty interesting and well-researched.
- The Last House Guest by Megan Miranda – 3/5 stars. A good mystery / thriller that I’d recommend. Good setting, interesting characters, surprise twists. Not a favorite, but enjoyable.
