Time to check in and reset. In this post, I’m looking back at how I did on my January 2020 goals — and setting some fresh ones for February 2020. January was decent, but not great. Here's how it shook out.
January 2020 Goals Recap
❌ Read five books: FAIL.
✅ Re-read the first Harry Potter: DONE. I’m not finished yet, but I am reading it and so happy to finally do my first re-read since reading them as a child!
❌ Work out 10 times: FAIL.
✅ Do initial weigh-in: DONE.
❌ Lose one pound: FAIL. Three January birthdays in our house, so I should have known.
✅ Make $20 on mTurk: DONE. Clocked in around $38.
✅ Organize and put away Christmas decor: DONE. It’s not entirely organized, but I did finally take it down.
✅ Go back and add years to my Get Sh*t Done titles (as seen above): DONE. I waited until the last possible minute, but it’s fine, whatever.
✅ Total Completed: 3 of 8. Not super impressive!
February 2020 Goals
- Read five books.
- Re-read Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets: I’m aiming for one a month!
- Work out five times: baby steps.
- Get Holden a haircut.
- Watch a movie with Jerry.
⭐ Priority Goal: February is a super short month, so I’m not aiming too high this time! I’m already behind on my reading goal for the year, so I want to focus on catching up, so that’s my big priority for the month.
One messy step at a time still moves you forward.
