Baby #2 Bumpdate: 15 Weeks + Gender Reveal!

Symptoms: A little bit of heartburn and a little bit of breathlessness, but other than that, nothing major. I will say, I’ve been sick since Wednesday, so that’s sucked. Caleb got sick Monday, Jerry on Tuesday, and me on Wednesday. We’ve all got colds. Yuck.

Sleep: Somewhat bad, but only because of my cold. I’m no longer getting up a million times a night to pee so yay. That will come back third trimester, though.

14+3

Diet/Cravings: I’ve been craving bagels this week. Yum.

Exercise: Worst week ever with ZERO work outs. Due to my schedule, the plan this week was to go Friday, Saturday, and today… but I’ve been sick. I’m still stuffy today, but I’m hoping to make it back for my Tuesday after-work work out.

Good Moments:

  • We had our elective ultrasound on Wednesday! Though we paid for a 10 minute scan, the lady was very thorough and good. She spent 30 minutes with us, trying to get a good view. It was so good to see the baby again. Jerry, Caleb, and my mom all went, and we Facetimed my grandparents in Florida. Heartbeat was 158.
  • I’m working on a collaborative blog post where I’m talking to moms of all boys. I have emailed 38 interested moms so far! Awesome.

And the BEST good moment...

We found out that baby #2 is A BOY at our elective ultrasound! We do have a name picked out, but we're keeping it a secret until he's born.

Just for fun, I will say that most of the old wives tales pointed to boy (Chinese calendar, baking soda test, salty cravings, heart rate) but the Ramzi Theory pointed to girl.

My mom already bought a cute little boy outfit — blue cotton overalls with animals!

Bad Moments:

  • Just being sick. Blech!
  • Not everyone seemed to understand our gender announcement – ha! I mean, come on! The scoop? That usually means the inside information. And the scoop itself is BLUE! Sheesh.
  • Caleb putting stuffed animals in the toilet. HA!

Looking Forward To: Wednesday is my 16 week appointment with the doctor. I know a lot of people hate going, but I don’t mind. I like getting to hear the heartbeat and making sure everything is on track and going well.

Comparisons: Here is my 15 week bumpdate with Caleb. Sounds like I had a cold then, too! Sheesh.

Funny little foot at 14+3!
