22 weeks |
I was 23 weeks yesterday, holy cow! Here’s how the last two weeks have been.
Symptoms: Been feeling good these last couple of weeks! NO migraines – woohoo! The biggest thing is that my back is hurting intermittently, most noticeably after I’ve been doing a lot around the house. It’s also getting challenging to bend and get up. I can still do these things, it just goes a little slower than normal!
Sleep: We’ve got the AC cranking most nights, so I’ve been sleeping pretty well!
Diet/Cravings: My eating has been on the bad side lately. I’ve been really hungry. Like, I’ll eat a meal and feel really full, then an hour later, I’m feeling hungry again.

23 weeks. Funny how different clothing can change the size and look of your bump! My 22 week picture looks bigger than 23! |
Exercise: Over the last two weeks, I’ve been on one “exercise” walk (over 30 minutes) and have been to the gym twice. Not spectacular, but not a total fail. I’m hoping to pick things back up again this week with at least three gym visits. I tried walking for exercise instead of the gym when the weather turned nice, but decided that the gym was a much better work out, so May started off slow in the exercise department when I was just walking. My weight gain is about 13-14 pounds so far which I THINK is good / average for 23 weeks? I have no idea since I ballooned up so much with Caleb.
Good Moments:
- I felt the baby move from the outside! Still trying to get Jerry to feel it.
- I got a new diaper bag that I love! I found it at Aldi for $17.
Looking Forward To:
- I have my 24 week appointment on Wednesday!
- Since we have to get monthly growth scans, I’m guessing we will be scheduling an ultrasound on Wednesday for sometime in the next week or two!
Comparisons: Here are my 22 week and 23 week updates with Caleb. Sounds like I started feeling him from the outside around the same time, too! How funny: I just read in my 23 week bumpdate that it was during that time that my hours at work got cut from 32 to 28 hours a week because Obamacare stipulated that 30 hours or more was full time, and my employer didn’t want us 32 hour folks to be considered FT. Seems like that stipulation backfired, since people ended up with their hours being cut instead of FT benefits like they had hoped when they implemented that 30 hour rule. DUMB idea! Anyway, I thought this happened WAY before my pregnancy with Caleb. Since then, a lot has changed on the work front. In 2016, I got a major promotion AND I got made full time (35 hours a week here, but more when you work the weekend). Funny how quickly things can change!
