Phew! One month of the new year finally done! How was your January? Did you have any luck with your goals? I’ve got to be honest, everything is still overwhelming and very much “2020” feeling, but I did okay, considering. Here’s how I did on my goals last month and the new ones I'm setting for February!
January 2021 Goals Recap
❌ Read three books: FAIL.
✅ Hit 2000 SV for Pink Zebra: DONE! I ended up with over 2500. I’ll take it!
✅Complete my three “end of year” wrap up blog posts: DONE!
❌ Watch one movie with Jerry: FAIL. We were busy watching Love After Lockup, lol.
✅ Create a spreadsheet for tracking extra income: DONE!
✅ Finish watching Love After Lockup: DONE! We’re addicted to this show and are now caught up.
❌ Finish watching Bly Manor: FAIL. I forgot about it.
❌ Finish cleaning our room: FAIL. I made progress but I’m not finished.
✅ Set up my new system for storing my PZ Wax Sprinkles: DONE.
❌ Put together and sort shelves in garage: FAIL.
❌ Do two manicures: FAIL. I only did one.
✅ Do something fun on Caleb’s birthday!: DONE. He wanted to go to Abbotts for ice cream. Then my parents came over for dinner and we ordered Chinese (he chose this over KFC, his other true love). He was very excited that we got him a Firestick for his birthday. Though COVID took away the ability to do a lot of things, we still managed to have a good day.
✅ Total Completed: 6 of 12. Halfway there. Not bad, I suppose.
February 2021 Goals
- Read three books
- Hit 3000 SV for Pink Zebra: our new catalog launches this weekend so I think I’ll have great sales! Plus, this is my magic number I need it to hit a huge goal (see below).
- “Graduate” from PZ Bash Camp: this is an online training that I’m working on about Blend Bashes. I’ve already done several of them and won the Best Blend Basher award on my team, but it’s a requirement for Pink Sapphire, so I have to do it.
- Earn Pink Sapphire status: this is a special milestone I’m close to hitting, and I need 3000 more SV and to “graduate” Bash Camp in order to get there.
- Do two manicures
- Order more shelves for Caleb’s room: he has those cute cube style shelves for his room. My parents got him a set for his birthday, and I plan on getting him another set from Target.
- Clean Holden’s room… again: he has trashed his room yet again. He throws all of his books off the shelves and chucks his clothes around the room. I’m planning on boxing up a lot of the books until he’s ready for them, and just leaving his board books out for now.
- Watch the second season of Unsolved Mysteries
- Re-watch American Murder: this is the Netflix documentary about the Shannan Watts case, and I’m super close to finishing the book, The Perfect Father. I want to go back and re-watch the documentary once I’m done.
- Watch Bly Manor: I might have to re-watch it from the beginning if I start the next episode and don’t remember it well enough.
- Book a counseling session: I spoke to my doctor and I’m going to talk to a counselor about my anxiety and depression issues. It’s a big leap, but I think it will be helpful, and I also think it’s something I’ll need before and after my bariatric surgery as well. I did have a psych evaluation, but many bariatric patients go to counseling after as well.
- Figure out the next steps for my surgery: I have my (virtual) intake appointment this month with the new hospital! I’m excited to see where we go from there. I’ve heard from other people who have switched that they were able to transfer a lot of their stuff over from the other hospital, and thus, were pretty far ahead in the new program.
- Start to catch up on blog reading: I haven’t touched my Bloglovin’ feed in months, and now it’s overwhelming me to the point I haven’t opened it. I fell behind in my blog reading / commenting after I started my PZ business in August, and really haven’t been staying up to date with any blogs since then. I hate feeling so out of the loop with everyone’s lives and I miss you all!!! I want to carve out some time to start catching up on everyone’s blogs. I usually go through one or two blogs at a time and read through ALL the months that I missed until eventually, I catch up on everyone’s, and all of their “back” posts.
That’s enough for February, and possibly too much considering it’s a short month, but we’ll see how it goes. Enjoy your month!
One messy step at a time still moves you forward.
