ONE.
I saw Wicked last week for the third time and I was in actual heaven. Rent will always be my number one love but Wicked is a very close second. I mean, my friends and I used to make music videos to the soundtrack so… I honestly hated to see it end and I already want to know when I can see it again. I just bought the CD and have been listening nonstop. “Defying Gravity” is life, you guys. Goosebumps! P.S. I got scolded for taking the below photo of the stage (and no, it hadn’t started yet… I’m no asshole). So enjoy the photo – I do believe it was worth it.
TWO.
I took a chocolate making workshop on Monday with a friend. It was held at another local library (not mine) and was really cool! We learned about the history of chocolate and rolled our own truffles out of different flavored ganache. We also tried cocoa beans… yuck! Quick librarian plug: check your library’s calendars… all programs are free (to you – the library pays the presenters) and a huge variety is usually offered!
THREE.
Caleb is a big fan of the Easter Bunny. Kid straight up hates Santa and cries every year but laughs at the Easter Bunny. He saw him over the weekend and again last night. He’s also a big fan of the Easter train that runs in the mall and has a tantrum when it’s time to get off (even when we let him ride twice). Sigh. Terrible twos are in full effect.
FOUR.
I have amassed a sizable collection of bookish shirts lately and I am pumped. Bookish clothes – what could be better?! For those of you who are wondering, I found most of them on Zulily which is kind of my favorite place to shop for clothes recently. P.S. I wonder if Jerry is sick of taking pictures of me and my shirts yet.
FIVE.
Tuesday was National Library Workers Day! Our director and Friends group surprised all the staff with a card, a sweet pin, and baskets of snacks to choose from. That was fun and much appreciated!
Well, that’s what I’ve got this week! We’re going out for dinner with the family on Easter, I think. A local restaurant is putting on a buffet that has some kid-friendly food for Caleb and his cousins. I’ve still got to put his basket together soon. I’ve already got a Paw Patrol cup but I think we might hit Ollie’s for some books and candy to include. I’m also thinking of doing an Easter egg hunt for him. He did one last week in the house for OT and he loved it.
