Month in Review: February 2021

February was a short month, but also felt busy and jam packed! How was your February? Here’s how mine was!

Books Read

  • The Hunting Party by Lucy Foley

What I Watched

Movies:
  • Fantasy Island: I liked it okay, Jerry wasn’t a fan.
Shows:
  • Cecil Hotel: I am obsessed!
  • Night Stalker
  • 1,000 Pound Sisters
  • My 600 Pound Life
  • Life After Lockup

Happenings and Tidbits

  • Caleb switched from 100% virtual to hybrid kindergarten and started going IN to school twice a week. The first week was AWFUL! We got phone calls on both days from the teacher and the principal that he was crying, not listening, not doing his work, wanting to come home. The principal even had him stay late one day to finish his work! It was so stressful! Then, after that week… he’s been fine!
  • We had SO MUCH SNOW. Jerry had to work a ton of OT since he’s on grounds now and had to do a lot of snow removal at work. I got stuck in the driveway more than once. Oops.
  • Because of all the snow, my aunt came over with some sleds, and the boys went sledding in our yard! Every time we’re outside, I’m also critiquing our house and all the work we need done! I definitely think we need new doors, shudders, and windows at some point.
  • It was a huge month in my Pink Zebra business. We launched our Spring / Summer catalog, I hit over 3,000 SV, I “graduated” from Bash Camp, I promoted to Executive Consultant, and I became a Pink Sapphire, which is a HUGE milestone! I also held another Blend Bash party.
  • I earned $175 from three teammates from promoting in PZ as an incentive! Woop woop! One of the ladies already sent it to me on Venmo, and the other two are sending it this month.
  • I officially started in my new bariatric program and had my phone intake appointment with the nurse navigator, and it was AMAZING! What a night and day difference! She was warm, welcoming, and encouraging, and instead of making me feel like I would fail, she made me feel like I would SUCCEED. They were able to transfer a lot of my stuff over from my previous program, and then we scheduled a few appointments that I still needed. We are definitely going full speed ahead.
  • My dad and I ran a little giveaway campaign together on his Facebook business page (he’s a photographer).
  • I created a logo and awesome tagline for my work virtual mystery book club.
  • We ordered Holden a toddler bed and are now waiting for it to arrive!
  • Started back up with my laser hair treatments finally.
  • Random cool shit that isn’t personally related to me but that I was excited about in February: the Perseverance Rover landing on Mars, the cat lawyer video, and Chris D’Elia (my favorite comedian) making a return.

Coming Up in March

  • Tax appointment.
  • My initial physical for my new bariatric program.
  • My psych evaluation: this was one thing they couldn’t carry over, because it was “expiring,” as it would have been a year old. I’m doing it with the same person though, and it’ll be over the phone again.
  • Hopefully losing some weight!
  • Another Blend Bash.
  • Caleb is starting PIANO LESSONS!
  • Our author visit event at work! We host a community read and author visit each year, and sadly it has to be virtual again this year, but that’s okay! It’ll still be fun!
