Lately, I’ve been in a mood. However, I think that everyone’s in a mood lately. The whole world… in a mood.
Blame COVID.
Anyway, I thought it would be fun (or sad) to list some of the things that are currently annoying me and contributing to that mood. You can join along in the comments if you like!
- Fake friend requests: fake profiles have always run rampant on Facebook, but for some reason, I’ve had this massive influx of fake friend requests lately… I’m talking 5 – 7 a week and sometimes more. It’s very annoying and very phony. These profiles are obviously fake and I can’t believe that some people actually fall for this crap. What is their goal? I think they generally will try and message people for money. Very, very dumb people, that is.
- Facebook complainers: let’s just keep on with the Facebook theme! You know what I hate? People who love to complain nonstop on Facebook but would probably not have the nerve in person. Dealt with some lady over the weekend with nonstop complaints relating to my social media work. She was saying the same thing on multiple pages and in multiple Facebook groups. We get it already! Shut it down now.
- Garbage disposal breaking: ugh! We had to get a new garbage disposal installed a couple years back, and it’s already giving us trouble again. Jerry’s had to go under and fix it at least 5 times in the last month with an easy wrench fix. It’ll just randomly stop spinning and it’s not even that old! Now we’re either going to have to buy another new one, or hire someone to do appliance repair because eventually our easy trick to fix it will stop doing the trick.
- Nails breaking: okay, I don’t remember this happening in any winters past, but my nails have been snapping and breaking off so much this winter. It’s like they’ve become extremely brittle. I’m hearing this can be because of the cold, and also maybe because of the constant hand washing?
- Storage bin shortage?!: in my quest to get organized this year, I have been buying, or should I say ATTEMPTING to buy, storage bins… and they have been in short supply for the last 3 months LIKE WTF!!! I’ll place pick up orders for Walmart, and then get an email that my order has been canceled because they’re out of stock, and this has happened on several occasions. Once I got lucky and ordered a bunch at Home Depot and they actually came through for me, but now they’re out of stock again too. Where is everyone hiding the storage bins!!!
- My children destroying their rooms: my mother has come over twice now recently (October and December) to help me thoroughly clean and declutter the boy’s rooms and they trashed them again within DAYS both times. You cannot even walk in them and I am so annoyed!!! Why? Why are boys like this? It’s like a neverending loop. Spend time cleaning it, and then they ruin it, and then we clean it, and then they ruin it… and on and on.
- Waiting on the movie theaters: why are the movie theaters still closed? WHY?! This is by far the dumbest thing to have been closed because people NEVERRR sit close to each other in the theater. Honestly, movie theaters could have safely stayed open the entire time. I love going to the movies. They’re much safer than restaurants, stores, and gyms.
