Recent Amazon Purchases (2)

It’s time for another round of recent Amazon purchases! I won’t lie though, I don’t think any of these purchases are particularly fun or exciting. I think they definitely show my age (32!). Bahaha. Anyway, it’s always kind of fun to be nosy and see what people are scooping up. PS I am not an Amazon affiliate and do not make money off of this. Just showing you what I bought. Also, prices might be different now because I’m showing you what I paid at the time of my purchase.

Refine Nail Scissors ($6.24): I’m constantly losing my nail scissors, and as you may recall, my nails have been terribly brittle all winter, so I’ve had to cut and trim them more often than usual lately. I hate nail scissors that get rusty and stick / don’t open and close smoothly. I haven’t had these long enough to give a good review on them though, so we’ll have to see how they hold up.

EZY Dose Weekly AM/PM Travel Pill Organizer and Planner ($3.98): Just call me Grandma! But really, I take several medications. One of them is Topamax for my migraines, and this makes me EXTREMELY forgetful and foggy. One of my medications has to be taken in the AM and PM, and I was often forgetting my morning dose, so this will help me remember everything. I will also be taking a lot of vitamins after my surgery, so this will be super important and helpful.

2 Pack Metal Hooks ($3.99): This one is actually kind of cool. My aunt suggested one of these to put on our barn door wall to use as a coat, purse, and backpack hanger and I thought it was a great idea! We haven’t put it up yet, but it’s a cheap and stylish alternative to a coat hanger, I think. It’s also way better than throwing coats on the back of the chairs like we do now. HA! Man, gotta love being a homeowner, right? Constant renovations, appliance repair, expensive purchases… and then rhe occasional, brilliant $4 purchase like this one! Boom!

The Pigeon HAS to Go to School! hardcover book ($7.78): Okay, buckle up, this one’s a story. So, Caleb turned 6 in January, and for some strange reason, he thought that becoming 6 meant that he could use Sharpies. He became obsessed with the idea. I wasn’t super keen on it (OBVIOUSLY!), but he’s generally a very good boy. He’s a sweet and gentle soul, and quite mature, so whatever, he had a Sharpie that he was occasionally drawing with. WELLLLL, a few weeks ago, he came out of his room with the 3 Mo Willems books we had checked out from the library. You know, the one WHERE I WORK, and the covers and back covers were completely drawn all over with black marker. For good measure, he had even written “CALEB.” So you probably know where this story is going. I grab a baby wipe and start to scrub, assuming it’s washable kid’s marker, and of course, it is not. It is Sharpie. Caleb had no explanation for why he did it or what possessed him… so sadly, this librarian had to hang her head in shame and purchase replacement copies of all of the books that the librarian’s son defaced. Sigh. Luckily, my coworkers understand as we see many a damaged children’s book (and adult!) that have to be paid for and replaced, and the irony of a librarian’s son doing it is just…. ya know, crazy. Laughable. Ridiculous. I have to buy the other two still, but one down, right?!

Kivvo 200 Merchandise Plastic Bags ($18.50): I bought these for my customer’s Pink Zebra orders, and overall find them to be a good value since I got 200 of them. They’re the perfect size for the jars that my customers buy, but I’ve discovered that they’re a little too small for the warmers. The warmers will kinda fit, but they tend to rip the bag because the bags are a little on the thin side. However, most of what I sell is jars, so I will be using these bags for about 90-95% of my sales and will definitely re-purchase when I run out! I’ll be on the lookout for a larger size bag for when I do sell warmers and larger items, but I just won’t need quite as many of the larger sized ones.

Nature Made Vitamin B12 1000 MCG Time Release Tablets, 160 Count ($8.87): I have had low B12 levels for many, many years. I used to get injections, then stopped, and then after recent bloodwork, the doctor wanted me to get my B12 up again. She offered injections again or pills, so I went with the pills because it was kind of a pain to go into the office every month. Anyway, she always claims that I will be less tired when my B12 goes back up, but I am still always tired. Oh well, I suppose it’s still good to increase my levels, right? Good news is my B12 was back in normal range according to my bloodwork from last week, so I’ll take it.
