Well here we are… back to March, the month that our worlds all imploded last year. Who the heck thought we’d still be smack dab in the middle of the pandemic a year later? Not I. But here we are, and I’m left wondering if this shit will ever end now, and that’s really kind of scary. Anyway, we can only look ahead and try to keep living, but living life revised. Still setting goals, still trying to do things. Here’s what I’ve been working on lately.
February 2021 Goals Recap
❌ Read three books: FAIL.
✅ Hit 3000 SV for Pink Zebra: DONE! I wasn’t sure if I was going to make it, but ended the (short) month at over 3300!
✅ “Graduate” from PZ Bash Camp: DONE! Pink Zebra training I needed to complete for Pink Sapphire (below).
✅ Earn Pink Sapphire status: DONE!!! This is an amazing milestone that not many consultants hit, but I did it! And I did it in seven months, though you have a year. I haven’t gotten my ribbon or announcement yet, but I officially hit the goals I needed (15,00 SV and Bash Camp) in February.
❌ Do two manicures: FAIL. I didn’t do any because my nails have been awful lately. They’ve been really brittle, and have been breaking off nonstop. This is unusual, as I usually have strong nails, but I think it’s the weather.
❌ Order more shelves for Caleb’s room: FAIL
❌ Clean Holden’s room… again: FAIL
❌ Watch the second season of Unsolved Mysteries: FAIL
❌ Re-watch American Murder: FAIL. I started it but didn’t finish. Anywho, not upset because this was just a re-watch for me, after reading the book on the case: The Perfect Father by John Glatt.
❌ Watch Bly Manor: FAIL.
❌ Book a counseling session: FAIL.
✅ Figure out the next steps for my surgery: DONE! I am making a lot of progress in this arena and feeling really good about it again for the first time in awhile. It’s amazing what finding the right care team is like, as opposed to one that is NOT a fit for you (I’m looking at YOU, Sandra, horrid dietitian).
❌ Start to catch up on blog reading: FAIL. I’m reading blogs here and there, but I haven’t caught up yet in the way I want to. Darn you life, why you gotta be so busy?! I miss my blog friends and knowing all about their lives and what they’re up to.
✅ Total Completed: 4 of 12... which isn’t good, but the ones that I DID accomplish were very good ones, and probably the ones that were most important to me for the month.
March 2021 Goals
- Schedule an oil change for Jerry: very overdue.
- Schedule an oil change for me: mine is also very overdue. Oil changes are forever a thorn in my side..
- Schedule grooming for Dakota: as always, Dakota’s hair is looking very shaggy. He hates grooming though, and I hate how expensive it is.
- Finish three books: I’m behind on my yearly reading goal and really need to catch up.
- Finish book club book on time: I never finish my book club books on time!
- Watch Framing Britney Spears: I’m really intrigued!
- Transition Holden to a TODDLER BED: long story short, Holden isn’t REALLY ready to move out of the crib, but he broke it by jumping excessively, and even climbed out once. We had no choice but to order him a toddler bed, which is arriving this month. This is going to be a challenge, I think.
- Finish the Night Stalker documentary: started this one with Jerry. It’s honestly not the most gripping true crime documentary I’ve seen (and I’ve seen A LOT), but I would still like to finish it.
- Finish watching Real Housewives of Salt Lake City: another one that I started and am somewhat interested in… at least enough to finish.
- Watch To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before movies 2 and 3: I’m obsessed with the books, and saw the first movie, but need to see the last two.
- Watch the second season of Unsolved Mysteries: rollover goal
- Re-watch American Murder: rollover goal
- Clean Holden’s room: rollover goal, and also needs to be done anyway when we remove the crib and set up the bed.
- Order Caleb’s shelves from Target: rollover goal
- Do two nail wrap manicures: rollover goal
Okay, that’ll do it for March I think! I have several appointments this month related to my surgery, and lots of Pink Zebra stuff going on, so I think I’ll be pretty busy anyway.
One messy step at a time still moves you forward.
