ONE.
Holy cow, it’s been a hot one. All week, it has felt like the surface of the sun here in good old New York. Temperatures reached up to 95 with head indexes in the hundreds. I absolutely hate it. And the worst thing about hot weather here is that our humidity is killer. Jerry always tells me that of course the temps were higher in California, but it was dry heat, so it’s worse here. I sweat nonstop, especially now wearing the masks all day at work. What’s it like where you are? All I can say is I am so thankful we have central air.
TWO.
I had my sleep study done on Wednesday night! It was an interesting experience, and a night of horrible sleep! I reported to the sleep center at 7:40 and had oodles of wires hooked up to my head, face, chest, and legs. I also had stuff up in my nose and an oxygen reader on my finger. I hardly slept a wink, but the tech was nice, and the room was too. I’ll talk more about it in my next Steph Gets Skinny post, but this was the last thing I had to check off my pre-surgery checklist! Now I just need clearance from the dietician, and I’ll be meeting with the surgeon!
THREE.
I started watching the Unsolved Mysteries reboot on Netflix and I absolutely love it! It reminds me a lot of one of my favorite shows Disappeared, that has sadly been canceled. Disappeared is on the Investigation Discovery channel which is one of my all time favorite channels. I have just a couple more episodes of UM to watch since there were only six, and I can’t wait for them to release more! If you know me, then you know I am a hardcore true crime junkie, so this is right up my alley. I used to watch the original Unsolved Mysteries on occasion when I was younger, so I might have to pick that back up. Anyone else watch either the new or old ones?
FOUR.
Holden is the funniest kid in the world. The other day, he got ahold of the phone, figured out how to record and flip the camera, and took a selfie video of himself saying “hi. hi.” I was laughing so hard, and he cracks up whenever he watches it. I’m just amazed at how smart my kids both are. He’s not even two yet and he did that!
FIVE.
If you know me, you know about my wax melting obsession. I LOVE wax warmers and have a huge collection of both warmers and wax. I’m also a big candle lover too. I love vendor wax, Walmart wax, Scentsy… you name it! I recently discovered Pink Zebra and I love their stuff now too. I’m actually seriously considering signing up as a PZ consultant, strictly so I can get a discount on all the warmers. I’ve tossed around the idea of joining Scentsy in the past too, but you have to sell more to stay active than you do in PZ. Anyone a consultant for either? I’m really not interested in making sales or hosting parties, I’m only interested so I can get myself a discount LOL. I know I personally hate it when I have people trying to sell me stuff, so that’s not my goal at all. I just want ALL THE WARMERS! Thoughts?
That’s five for now — see you in the next chapter.
