Weekend Recap (9)

This morning I woke up and briefly thought it was Sunday. That was great… while it lasted! Anyway, we had a nice weekend and it flew by as usual. Here’s what we got up to.

Friday, I got out of work at five and headed straight home. Jerry and the kids were home, and there was a hot pastrami sub waiting for me for dinner. Jerry wanted Pino’s for dinner, so that’s what I picked, and it hit the spot. Yum!

That night, after Holden went to bed and Caleb was busy playing, we started watching the long awaited Haunting of Bly Manor on Netflix, which I mentioned I was hoping to watch on Friday! We were major fans of The Haunting of Hill House, so we were very excited when this one finally dropped. We watched the first two episodes that night. It was a little slow to start, but so was Hill House. Definitely has a really good back story and spooky vibes though!

Saturday morning was a busy one. I had to run a few errands, sans children (which never happens), and it was a beautiful fall day to be out and about. I stopped at the bank, went and picked something up, and stopped at Krazy Cakes for donuts and an Apple Pie smoothie. It was fantastic, and me and the kids loved our donuts, as always.
When I got home, I made a live video on my Pink Zebra page to unbox a package from earlier in the week. Just my luck that Caleb strolled in while I was ON LIVE and said, “Mommy, wipe my butt!” Oh lawd, never a dull moment around here. HA! After that, I had to make up a bunch of wax blends for people who ordered, and that kept me busy for the rest of the morning.

After lunch it was naptime! I laid down while Holden napped, even though I didn’t actually fall asleep (sigh). Once he was up from his nap, it was time for dinner. Jerry made chicken tetrazzini for the first time, and it turned out great! He made the chicken in the Instapot, and then baked it afterward with the pasta and some veggies he added. Our picky kids even loved it, so that means it was good! That evening, we watched one more episode of Bly Manor before calling it a night.

Sunday morning was busy with Pink Zebra once again. My little business was popping this weekend, and I’m very grateful! I also recently won two different selling contests from my upline! First, I won $20, and next, I won a Pink Zebra tote bag! Yay! Anyway, Jerry ran out to get coffee and also grabbed me a Diet Coke as a surprise. One he got home, I finished making up a few more blends and samples for people, then it was delivery time. I took the kids with me so they could get some fresh air, and we made four stops delivering wax goodies! Sadly, my poor Holden got sick in the car and threw up twice, so I rushed home and stuck him in the tub. He was completely fine after that, and even ate well the rest of the day. That said, I think he drank his juice too fast in the morning and didn’t have an actual bug or anything since he recovered so quickly. After lunch, it was naptime again for Holden and me. I actually fell asleep this time, yay!

Once we woke up, I had to make one final PZ delivery right across the street from McDonalds, so I dropped that off, and then picked up a Happy Meal for the boys for dinner and a Diet Coke for me… duh. The rest of the evening was pretty boring. I did a load of laundry and watched a little bit of Halloween Wars. My aunt also stopped over to pick up a PZ sample, and Skippy, the ice cream man, was outside slinging ice cream when she arrived. I threw Caleb into some pants, and we ran outside so Aunt Karin could buy the boys both an ice cream treat. Caleb was very, very excited.

And that was our weekend in a nutshell! Only five more days until the next one…
