The Library Stack (1)

Today I thought it’d be fun to share with you my library holds! You all know I read ALL over the map! I read (and watch) a HUGE variety of genres, so I wanted to show you my current stack of holds. I thought this might also give you some ideas if you’re looking for something new to read / watch. These just came in for me, so I haven’t read any of them yet. That said, I can’t say whether they’re good or not, but reviews will be coming, as usual!

🎬 Last Christmas (Movie): you guys already know I’m a sucker for a good Christmas movie… or twenty. I wanted to see this one last year in theaters when it came out and never got around to it, so I’m hoping to watch it ASAP now. Anyway, it appears to be a romantic comedy set in London.

📖 Invisible as Air by Zoe Fishman: Ooh, this one sounds intriguing. It’s about the typical mom who does it all, who is secretly addicted to the pain pills her husband is prescribed.

📖 The Haunting of Gillespie House by Darcy Coates: Oh boy, you better lock all your windows and doors, because this one looks straight up spooky! This is a horror author I just recently discovered. I haven’t read her yet, but she appears to have written quite a few horror novels, so I am excited to dive in! Anywho, this is about a woman who is housesitting a at a beautiful house at the edge of the woods. However, the house appears to be hiding some secrets…

📖 The White Coat Diaries by Madi Sinha: This is a debut novel touted as “Grey’s Anatomy meets Scrubs.” Okay, count me in! It’s about a young doctor making her way through residency, when she is pulled into some kind of medical cover up due to a fatal mistake. The cover looks fluffy and fun, but it sounds like it’s dramatic and engaging. I enjoy medical dramas, and taking a peek into that world, so this should be interesting.

📖 Saving Henry: A Mother’s Journey by Laurie Strongin: I really enjoy memoirs, and this one is written by a mother on a journey to try and save her son who has a rare and fatal illness.

📖 The Christmas Swap by Melody Carlson: I basically only read Christmas books from after Thanksgiving through Christmas, and the cheesier the better. This one is about two people doing a house swap for Christmas, and romance ensues. It looks and sounds short and sweet!

📖 The Perfect Father by John Glatt: No book list of mine is ever complete without a little true crime. This one is about the killing of the Watts family (Shannan and her daughters) by their own husband / father. One of the most disturbing cases in recent times (in my personal opinion). I’m anxious to dig into this one and learn more. Jerry and I did watch the Netflix documentary recently and highly recommend it.
