Whew, another weekend come and gone! Time for a quick recap!
Friday, I worked until 5:00 like usual. When I got home, Jerry and the kids were home because he gets out of work much earlier than me (which is no fair). He had stopped at Pino’s on the way home, so there was a turkey sub waiting for me for dinner. I ate that and we watched The Great Christmas Light Fight. I just discovered this show last Christmas and LOVE it, so I had a bunch of old episodes still saved on my DVR that I never got to. After that, I made a quick live video on my Pink Zebra page, because my ScentFlirt subscription had arrived, then I drank some delicious homemade hot chocolate from the husband.

| A cuddly Holden Friday night |
Saturday morning, Jerry was up at the crack of dawn, and did a lot of stuff while we were all still asleep. He works early in the morning, so he’s always early to bed and early to rise. Anyway, he went to Krazy Cakes and brought home donuts, and also stopped at McDonalds for a Diet Coke for me and sausage biscuits for the kids. AND he also made conchas and candied pecans… all while everyone was still asleep. LOL.
After our breakfast, I had to run a couple of errands, including a couple of Pink Zebra deliveries. When that was done, Holden and I took an afternoon nap, and I actually fell asleep, which doesn’t always happen! I woke up feeling refreshed for once. I made some mac and cheese for dinner and worked on a couple of blog posts that evening, then watched another episode of The Great Christmas Light Fight. Holden went to bed a little later than usual (around 7:30), then I could FINALLY finish the Hallmark movie I’d been trying to finish all week: One Royal Holiday (review to come). After that, it was lights out.
Sunday morning, Jerry was in the kitchen bright and early again. He LOVES to cook and bake, and is always experimenting with new creations and recipes. This time, he made some banana bread. The kids and I had some of that for breakfast and watched an episode of Christmas Cookie Challenge on Food Network. After that, it was time for me to get to work. I usually spend at least one weekend morning working on Pink Zebra stuff, so Sunday it was. My Black Friday bulk order for locals had come in, so I got all of that sorted, then I also had a couple of loyalty rewards to make. Then I bagged up orders and arranged for pick ups. I finally finished all that up around 11, hopped in the shower, then called the rest of the day a lazy one. No. Really. Holden and I napped at some point again. I started to clean our bedroom a bit (it’s still a mess, but progress is progress!). I attempted to make pasta for the kids but burned it (yep), then ran to McDonalds.
After dinner, we did something fun! We made our first gingerbread house with the kids EVER! Jerry bought a very cute kit at Aldi, and Caleb was really excited about doing it all weekend. What I learned is that gingerbread houses are NOT as easy as they look, and that you probably need to use a lot more icing than you think. Our house stood for all of two minutes before it toppled. Lesson learned: LOTS and LOTS more frosting needs to be applied next year. The kids had fun though, and enjoyed eating candy, and even got along for some of it, so we will call it a win!
Aaaaand to cap off the weekend, I watched yet another episode of The Great Christmas Light Fight. Definitely getting in the holiday sprit over here, and I love it!
